Project 1: Experiencing Construction

5 Aspects of construction projects are
1) Preliminary works
2) Foundation
3) Building structure (concrete floor, column, floor beam)
4) Staircase
5) Walls

Construction site chosen must be a low-rise or a medium rise building not more than 4-storeys height and we were to identify and record construction process, details and materials plus building elements.
​

The first project exposes students to introduction of basic principles and procedures of the construction process through real-life project which is experiential learning. It is also learn about the construction method, sequence, coordination and technology.
​
In a group of 5, we were to look at 5 aspects of construction through site visits of ongoing construction sites to engage hands-on learning experience. Our group was led by a group of professional and practicing architects and engineers to introduce to varies sites.
